Rendering and external wall insulation

Rendering and external wall insulation

Insulated render systems and new render finishes that make a house warmer and smarter outside, with the boarding, mesh, basecoat and finish all handled by one team.

What we do

External wall insulation

Insulation boards fixed to the outside walls, reinforced with mesh and basecoat, then finished in render for a warmer home with a cleaner look.

Render finishes

Scratch coat, through-coloured and silicone render on houses, extensions and outbuildings, in a smooth or textured finish.

Brick-effect render and brick slips

Tired or patched frontages given the look of new brickwork, without rebuilding the walls.

Repairs and patching

Cracked or blown render cut out and made good, ready for a matching finish.

Common questions

Is external wall insulation worth it?

For solid-wall houses it can make a noticeable difference to how warm the house feels, and it gives the outside a fresh finish at the same time. We'll talk you through whether it suits your house before you commit.

Do I need planning permission for render or insulation?

Often not, but it depends on the property and where you live (for example conservation areas or flats). Check with your local council before work starts. We'll flag anything we spot when we quote.

Can you match an existing render colour?

Usually we can get close with through-coloured render, and on a whole elevation we'd normally recommend re-rendering it so the finish is even.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes. Send us the address and a few photos and we'll come back to you with a no-obligation quotation.
